The difference

Where most children's journals stop, this one keeps going.

"I just love that every page is different. Every day I want to go to the next page already!"

Keira - Age 10

The same easy starting point. Then, something new every day.

Each day is one two-page spread. Plenty of space to discover, learn and grow.

Exploring feelings

Feelings go deeper than "fine," and so does the journal.

Feelings can be difficult to notice, put into words, and respond to. The journal offers three ways to explore them, so children find words that fit what they really feel, and simple things to try when a feeling gets big.
Growing bigger

A complete daily practice for emotional growth

Together with feelings, the journal makes room for confidence, gratitude, kindness, resilience, and wellbeing across the 12 weeks.
Growth Mindset
A kinder way to meet ‘I can’t’

Stories and questions help your child see mistakes as part of learning, so a hard moment can become a reason to keep going.

What's inside

  • A Rainbow Feelings Bookmark with 42 feeling words, so children can name what they feel beyond happy, sad, and mad.
  • Six friendly characters, each with a different personality and their own challenges, bring the journal to life, making it fun and relatable.
  • Opening chapters to fill in, exploring strengths, dreams, wellbeing, and how feelings work.
  • Playful tools to understand and respond to feelings, including body maps for where they show up, calming techniques like bubble breathing, and star ratings for what helped.
  • Stories, comics, quizzes, "Help a Friend" scenarios, and reflection activities on kindness, confidence, resilience, and friendships, so no two days are the same.
  • Habit Mountain and milestone pages, so progress is something children can see and be proud of.
  • A two-page spread for each day, with room to write, draw, and reflect in their own way.
  • A message to their future self to close the 12 weeks, a snapshot of who they are right now.

Questions, answered.

Still wondering if the journal fits your family? We've got you!
The Journal
Can kids use the journal by themselves? Plus

Yes. It's written for children ages 6 to 12 to use on their own. Younger children may like some company at first, while older ones can use it independently. What they share is up to them, and that's often where the good conversations start!

Will it feel repetitive? Plus

In one word: no! We designed it so no two days feel the same. We wanted it to feel engaging, fun and versatile, while having a familiar structure children felt comfortable with. That’s why the left page keeps a familiar three-prompts structure all about feelings, so starting each day is easy. The right page changes every day: questions, stories, activities, and memory prompts, all about growth mindset, confidence, gratitude, kindness and wellbeing. Plus, the six characters are just too adorable, and make the perfect companions for the journal!

What happens if they miss a day? Plus

Nothing! Life happens, we all get busy or tired (kids included) sometimes, and skipping a day of journaling is completely normal. The journal is undated, so kids can simply pick it up again. It's about building a practice, not keeping a perfect streak.

Is the Rainbow Feelings Bookmark included? Plus

Yes. Every journal comes with one Rainbow Feelings Bookmark: 42 feeling words to help kids find the right one for the day. And if a feeling is hard to understand, the Feelings Glossary at the end of the journal is there to help.

How does the journal work with Bloom Cards? Plus

The Journal and Bloom Cards have been designed to work as one connected daily practice of emotional intelligence, where the same emotional skill is practiced in multiple ways.

The journal introduces new ideas through a short daily practice. Bloom Cards let children go deeper with the matching deck: Growth Mindset, Big Feelings, Self Identity, Self Care. Both products use the same emotional language and the same six characters, creating one consistent experience.

Daughter loves it

We were one of the test families before it launched. Honestly didn't think my daughter would stick with it but she uses it all the time now. She loves the six characters, picked her favorite right away and gets so excited when she spots her on a page. She says that it feels like fun and it helps her think about the good and the bad things that happen during the day. I’ll be happy to get another one once she finishes this one.

Such a great idea

My son received one of the early copies to test, and we mostly use it before bed. The feelings check-in makes it easier for him to get started, and the bookmark has helped him find new words for how he is feeling. Some nights we simply complete the page, but on other nights he ends up sharing far more about his day than I would normally hear.

Great journal

We got to try it early and I gave this journal to my 8 year old daughter. It's a nice little routine for us now either after school or in the evenings. The prompts are a good mix, some are quick and silly and make her laugh, others make her stop and think. I also like that there are 2 pages for each day which gives real room to write or draw compared to other journals we tried in the past that had only one page and felt cramped.
